Spacek, Mari

I am researching an "Unknown" Whitaker/Whittiker who was married to a Nancy(possibly surnamed Randolph) and had children in Mississippi between 1800 and 1818. Children included William (1802), Peter, and possibly Alexander and Lucretia. By 1819, my "Unknown" was deceased and the family was in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, where Nancy remarried a Fitzgibbons. The entire family then moved to Texas in 1822, where they remained. Every generation since has had a William (usually William Elijah) and a Peter (usually Peter Randolph).

David and Clarissa's son, Marvin Flavius, was a Methodist minister somewhere in Texas. Marvin died before 1935. (I am a great granddaughter of Marvin's youngest brother, George Robert, who was also a Methodist minister.) I assume that the Mrs. David Kinnamon who wrote my grandfather Whitaker in 1958 and one of my aunts in 19 61 was one of Marvin's daughters. (Mrs. Kinnamon was very old in 1958-1961, and wrote from an address in Dallas.)

David Lorenzo Whitaker was the youngest son of Hugh Hardy Whitaker (b. 1765, North Carolina, migrated to western South Carolina ca. 1800). Hugh was the oldest son of John Whitaker (~1745-1823) of the Raleigh, NC, area: this John Whitaker is the one in the Patriot Index from North Carolina who did NOT fight in the Revolution. I would appreciate information on proof of John's marriage to Elizabeth Hardy.

John was the first generation born in North Carolina: his parents and their ancestors were from southeastern Virginia. (They were part of the Jabez Whitaker group.)

I have little information on most of these people and would appreciate more information as well as messages from cousins I've never met.
